About Aunt Julie

Paddleduck name was given to me when I was a child. My grandfather thought I looked like a duck paddling in the water when I went swimming. He called me, "Paddleduck". I have nine nieces and nephews.

I am excited to share with you that I am a newly published author.

Paddleduck! Julie, A Little Girl From Texas is my first book! I grew up with four sisters and we have many memories. After years of storytelling to nieces, nephews and other children, I have collected my stories in a book titled Paddleduck!  I can share my stories with more people.

Paddleduck #1 describes the adventures of my friends, family, neighbors and classmates at home, school, church and family functions.  Each story has a moral lesson.  I set out to write a book for children.  The adults are asking for the next book.  Paddleduck #2  Julie, Living in Texas is alive and ready. More stories based on my childhood in Texas.  Paddleduck #3 ABC Book is multi-language.  I bought many books through the years and then decided to publish one for our family. This ABC book has translations in English, Greek, Spanish, German, and Italian. My grandmother could not speak English and I could not speak Spanish. I wished I had a book like this when I was a little girl and we could have read together and learned from each other.  I am from Houston, Texas and love to write, draw, sketch, and color.  I did the artwork on the first two books.  I recruited many children to participate in this project for the ABC book.  I have added to my collection, a health book (Best diet for life, a weigh to health).  This was inspired through my sisters and my journey to health and weight loss.  Book 5 is, "Bible, prayers and miracles".  Two of my sisters are survivors of cancer and severe asthma. More books are in the works. I live in Texas and I am 13% Native American, Spanish, Mexican, and Scandinavian.

Naturally, I have more books about Texas.
